Toy Box Update: Tim Allen, 30th Merch, Etc.

Hey howdy hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good early fall so far! We are 260 days away from Toy Story 5!
I thought I'd roundup some little bits of news and new merchandise coming out. With the 30th anniversary this year, we are literally in the year of Toy Story! It's such an exciting time to be a fan.
Tomorrow, October 2nd, Levi Strauss & Co. is partnering with Pixar to create a Toy Story 30th anniversary clothes line. Levi's is one of my favorite brands and the hype around this collab is top notch. The items coming out consist of t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, jean jackets, bags, and bandanas all in the celebration of Woody, Jessie, and a side order of Buzz.
For men, there's lots of varieties of jeans, t-shirts, and jackets.
For women, and I'm all about this, the clothing is inspired by Jessie!

Next, we have these really cool mini-robotic figures by Robosen. These look super high-quality and interactive.

Lastly, Tim Allen has been doing press for his show, Shifting Gears (on ABC and Hulu), and has been chatting about Toy Story and the upcoming fifth film.
Tim was on Kelly and Mark on Monday, September 30th, and reiterated that the story is about Jessie, mentioned the multiple Buzz Lightyears, and talked about his experience recording Buzz.
Next, he appeared on Howie Mandel's podcast, "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" and mentions his time with Toy Story and working with Tom Hanks.

Finally, for anyone who is an animation nerd, Pixar has unveiled the specifications of Renderman 27.0.
In a nutshell, Renderman 27.0 will feature Renderman XPU which is a hybrid CPU/GPU render engine used for final-frame rendering.

I bring up this article because there's a video interview with Pixar's marketing manager, David Sisson, on what to expect with this update and how they have used these components for Toy Story 5.
