So I'm just going to cut right to the chase.

Pixar has updated their home page with their upcoming films like Hoppers and...Toy Story 5!

Let's just take a minute here to gaze at the wonder that is the new Renderman XPU and how they look amazing.

To me, Woody looks so soft and...not as tense? He truly has a relaxed stature about him. His sheriff badge is gone since he gave it over to Jessie, our new sheriff! However, he will be reuniting with his best buddies and I'm so excited to see how it'll all go down!

This Buzz Lightyear render blew. me. away. You can see all the years of normal wear and tear on him, like scratches and imperfections. However, the new star sticker on him has me going crazy. As a Buzz x Jessie fan of the couple, it's been mentioned he has been recently "deputized" and I'm wondering/hoping it was Jessie being cute and adorable with him by placing the sticker on him. I can't wait to see them interact; I can't get enough of my favorite couple and I hope we get lots of moments between them!

Speaking of Renderman XPU, Pixar is holding a launch party in celebration of Renderman 27 at the VIEW Conference in Italy as we speak.

The description of the event is as follows:

Join us for Pixar's Official Launch of RenderMan 27, with exclusive insights from Pixar productions and artistic case studies. We’ll explore how new modern workflows, from photorealism to advanced stylization, are empowering the next generation of artists, in studios big and small. This session looks back at the technological breakthroughs that shaped the industry … and ahead to the creative freedom unlocked by XPU. Whether you're rendering, directing, or dreaming … the future of storytelling is about to get faster, weirder, and a lot more fun.

Audiences will also get a sneak peek of the opening of Toy Story 5. This seems like such a great event because the audience can learn the technicality behind Toy Story 5, and other current Pixar films. As an animation nerd, this would be a great experience. It looks like they might offer tickets to watch the event "on-demand" as they have in the past, so make sure you keep an eye out here! https://www.viewconference.it/pages/registration/

Furthermore with Toy Story 5, a fan with the Instagram handle @alessio.pasquali.75, attended New York Comic Con, where actress Annie Potts, the voice of Bo Peep, was a guest.

The fan asked Ms. Potts if Bo Peep is going to be in Toy Story 5, and Potts answered yes, but Bo Peep has a "small role". So whatever that means, Bo Peep is confirmed to make an appearance in Toy Story 5.

Kudos to this fan for asking about Toy Story 5, and congrats on the signature!

Lastly, for any Lorcana fans out there, Pixar films will be featured in "Wilds Unknown" which is set to drop in early 2026.

Along with Toy Story, it looks like Turning Red has also been confirmed. The artwork with Woody and Buzz is only the beginning to what fans can look forward to! I'm personally hoping for some Jessie in this as well!

That's it for this week, and boy, was it exciting! As always, I'll see ya in the next blog!
